Summer Time in Vegas

Summer comes early in Vegas. It started getting warm in April. It was great! High 60's and 70's made for the perfect temperature to play outside. Trips to the park several times a week, swimming, BBQs, popsicles. Summertime has been so much fun with my two little monkeys.
A friend and I took the girls swimming for the first time in April. Emma liked it, Adelyn didn't. :) Opposites in EVERYTHING! The next time Andrew and I took them and that time Adelyn slowly warmed up to the idea and Emma would only go in if Andrew or I were holding her.
 The first time They went.
Emma loving it!
Adelyn not so sure...
The second time They went.
Adelyn slowly warming up, but still a little scared
Adelyn having fun, even though she looks a little surprised.
Emma only wanted to be held.

Family fun swim day!
The girls got to try popsicles for the first time. They happened to be teething at the time. Adelyn already had one tooth. She bit down on the popsicle and it didn't feel too good on her tooth. The picture below is from when she bit the popsicle :)

Going shopping with two is sometimes a challenge. The stroller doesn't hold a lot, but shopping carts (other than costco) only seat one. Luckily my girls are small so they share :)Funny side story: Twins tend to be treated like celebrities when we go out. Everyone want to see them, touch them and ask lots of questions about them. Its fun and for the most part I enjoy it, however there are times when its not so great. When people would get too close I started telling people they were sick and I'd ask them not to touch. They weren't really sick I just didn't want a bunch of strangers touching my babies face, hands, etc. especially when they were little. They are preemies and have NO immune system. I don't want to offend people and say please don't touch my babies because you have germs even if you don't think you do, you do in deed have germs so please just don't touch my babies! So, I would just say my girls were sick. This worked all the time! Until.. One day we went to target (picture below) one lady saw them and asked all the questions and ooed and aawwed. And then she said "they are so cute I just have to squeeze them!" I said "oh, thanks!, but sorry they are just getting over an illness so please don't touch them" she laughed and I walked away. Then she said "where are you going, I want to squeeze your babies!" I had already walked around the corner and it was pretty awkward so I just kept walking and hid from her. Then we eventually snuck out of the store. haha
hiding from the crazy lady at Target!
I found a cool park by my house that has a big pond and lots of duck and geese. The girls were very curious about the ducks and geese. They liked to yell at them unless they got too close then they'd just get really quiet and still and stare at them.

And of course we had to go swinging while at the park. These girls LOVE to swing!

One of the best parts of having twins is watching what good friends they are becoming. They love each other so much! It is so cute to see how much fun they have together.
Summertime in Vegas treated us well! The girls loved all the time we had to spend outside.

  2. I agree, shopping is so hard with twins! Space is always an issue and as much fun as it is to hear how adorable your children are, sometimes you just want to get in and out fast to get back to your crazy life at home! I always feel like a circus every time I leave my house. And congratulations on surviving a year. That is quite the accomplishment!
