We are building a house!!!

We have been working for a few months to get our construction loan going, but it finally finished about a week and half ago! We broke ground the same day we finalize the loan. We debated back and forth about which lot to get and which neighborhood to build in. Ultimately we chose the first lot we ever considered. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the view! We are in the back corner of the neighborhood. There wont be anything built behind us in the fields for a LONG time. There are plans for a road to be built directly behind our house one day, but not for many years, and to the left there are lots of fields. That is the army depot land so nothing will be built there for a long time if ever. I love how it is quiet and I feel like we are in the country, but really we are just in a back corner. Check out that view!

Can you tell I am excited?!

We are very excited for this next chapter in our lives and we feel blessed to have this opportunity. We are very thankful for our family who is helping us with this!

Matthew got Tubes

A few weeks ago my sweet baby boy got tubes. Everyone said he would be so much happier and a completely different baby because he would feel so much better. Well, he is the happiest baby in the world so even though he had back to back ear infections for over 3 months he was still so happy, he slept through the night and all around just a great baby. Now that he has the tubes he is still happy as can be. Not much changed, but I am glad he isn't in pain anymore. The surgery went great. We got the hospital at 6:00am. He was a little confused as to what was going on, but as long as I was holding him he was fine.
The second I set him down though, he screamed. He got a little bored waiting for the doctor so they gave me a wagon to give him a ride in. He liked it for about thirty seconds, but then he cried for me to hold him again. The hardest part was handing him over to the nurse outside of the O.R. He looked so sad and his big blue eyes were so sad. It ripped my heart out. I don't think I could have done it if it had been a serious surgery. The surgery only took a few minutes and they let me back into the recovery room about 30 seconds after he got there after his surgery. That is one of the pros to doing it in a tiny hospital. He calmed down as soon as he got his bottle and me to cuddle. I have a wonderful sister in law who took the twins for the day so I was able to give Matthew all my attention while he recovered. The next day he was back to chasing his sisters around and being my happy little guy.

On a completely different note, look at that awesome hair! I love his curly hair!!! It brown, blond and even a little red! It kills me with those curls. It is always out of control and I just love it!

Girls Weekend

A few weeks ago my mom, sisters and I had a girls weekend. It was a blast! We have been wanting to do this for a LONG time, but between having babies and life happening we kept pushing it off, but luckily we finally decided to just do it. And seriously, it was so much fun! I LOVE these ladies. They are awesome and I am so grateful to have them in my life!

They all drove up from St. George and I met them in Salt Lake. We ate dinner at the Cheesecake factory (Delicious!).  Morgan ordered a chicken salad and we all about died when it came out. It was almost bigger then her :)

After dinner we did a little shopping at the mall and then went back to our hotel room to relax. This is my awesome sister Kristine! We had some good times talking and laughing.

The next morning we went to the tulip festival at Thanksgiving Point. Here we are riding around in the golf cart. The three of us (Me, Morgan, Marsha - I couldn't have asked for better sister in laws. These ladies are great! My brothers did good) anyways, we had fun waving to people as we rode around on the back. We were even called the princesses by strangers as we did the royal wave.

After the festival we went to the outlets and shopped, then we drove around and shopped pretty much everywhere. It was great! We went to dinner that night with my Aunt Karla and her daughters who live in Provo. The next morning we went our separate ways and our wonderful weekend came to an end. It was a quick weekend, but since all of us have little kids it was all we could manage, but we intend to do it more often.
