2012 Holidays Part 2

I had so much fun playing Santa's little helper for my family! I know my girls were only 6 months old, and we didn't get them a whole lot, mostly just stuff they needed and we were going to get for them anyways. But having two little ones made Christmas so much fun! We spent Christmas in Salt Lake with Andrews parents. Here is a video of Christmas Morning. Adelyns reaction when she see's the dog is priceless! I feel bad for how upset she gets, but at the same time it is entertaining.

Adelyn did eventually warm up to Violet the Dog and she now loves to play with it, it just took a few hours of Emma playing with it so she knew it was safe.
The girls got a saucer chair, a bouncer chair,  a musical mirror for the back of the car, Violet the Dog, a rollie singing ball and a few other little things.
I absolutely love this video! Her laugh makes me laugh every time.
Isn't she super cute! I wish I had a video of Emma to put up as well, but unfortunately I don't.

After Christmas we headed back down to warmer weather in St. George and celebrated Christmas with my family.

The girls playing in their new Christmas toys waiting to open presents.
A few days after Christmas my family got together to celebrate Christmas as a family and exchange gifts since we were all with our in-laws on Christmas day. We had a fun party at my parents house and just enjoyed talking and exchanging gifts and eating some yummy food.

Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Smart (Andrews Parents) for the cute Utah and BYU outfits!
Emma all dressed up for the party. Her shirt says "I make UTAH look this good"
Adelyn all dressed up for the party her shirt says "I make BYU look this good
Since I am a Utah fan after attending school there and Andrew is a BYU fan we couldn't agree upon which team they would support so luckily we had twins and they can each support one school. Don't worry we alternate the shirts so one doesn't get more love then the other one since both families tend to lean towards BYU. I am kind of the black sheep in my family for being a U fan, but I stand strong in my love for the school. After 5 years you can't help but be a die hard fan, but enough of that. Back to Christmas.
Some of my cute nieces and nephew watching a movie waiting for the party to start. These kids are seriously so cute! I love having fun nieces and nephews to play with and Emma and Addie really love having fun cousins to play with. They are really cute with the twins including them in their play and giving them lots of loves.
Addie checking out a toy she just opened. A singing key chain from Great Grandma Nina. Thanks Great Grandma! They love it!!
Emma opening/eating a present.
Sitting on their new High chairs Grandma Wilson gave them for Christmas. Thanks Grandma Wilson! The girls love their chairs!
Cousin Jaxen playing with Adelyn while she checks out her new high chair.  PS I love these high chairs if you are looking for one I highly recommend this one.

I have the best Grandma! I love her so much and I am so glad to have her in my life. She loves her great grand babies so much!
These two little cuties partied till they dropped! Cassidy is wearing the crown Emma and Addie got her for christmas. Like I said, I have such cute nieces and nephews.
Once again I wish I had a video to share of Emma, but this video of Adelyn is so cute I can't not post it. So on the chance of seeming to favor I am going to post it.

Adelyn makes this noise all the time. Andrew and I call her the predator that crawls around our house since this noise reminds me of the noise the preditor makes. She has gotten to the point that when someone else makes the noise she will make it back at them. It's pretty cute!

After the Christmas party we stayed in St. George for a few days to spend more time with my family. Here are some pictures of our adventures there.

Sporting their cute new christmas outfits! Thanks Grandma Wilson and Thanks Aunt Kristine for the cute boots! Also, having a ball with all their new toys.

Emma - YUM!
Adelyn can't fit enough of it in her mouth :)
There is a back story to the following pictures. I got these outfits from one of my baby showers and I loved them! They are size 0-3 so I was hoping to put them in them during the summer after they were born, but then they were so small when they were born that they didn't fit into most 0-3 clothes until the fall. Well  these outfits didn't fit them until January when they were almost 7 months old! I was dying to put them in them I even bought some tights and long sleeve onsies to turn them from summer outfits to winter outfits. Of course, once I got them all dressed they would NOT hold still to get a good picture. But they still look cute!
I love these two little blue eyed beauties!
Cute Little Emma
Little Miss Adelyn
This girls seriously makes the funniest faces!
Adelyn trying to crawl. She almost has it!
Adelyn learned to crawl! Well... she scoots anyways.

The girls FINALLY grew enough hair to put into a teeny tiny pony tail. They had a good amount of hair when they were born, but it all fell out by 3 months and it took another 4 months for it to kind of grow back. Also, I love these dresses, having two little girls to dress up is so much fun!
Worlds smallest pony tails!

Can you see her pony tail? It's there, look hard
Playing dress up again! I really have way too much fun dressing these girls up. I love these outfits! I feel like they need rain boots and some puddles to splash in :)

Adelyn Hanging out with daddy!
After our few days in St. George we headed back up to Salt Lake to spend time with Andrews family. Andrews parents got called to an LDS mission in London England and luckily their farewell was before Andrews school started so we got to go spend more time with Andrews whole family. For Christmas Paul and Flora (Andrews parents) invited all of their children and their spouses to go to dinner the weekend of their farewell. It was so much fun to just hang out with no kids distracting us. We went to the Roof Restaurant in Salt Lake in Temple square. And to top it off Flora found someone to watch our daughters for a few hours while we went to the dinner. It was a nice break to get out and enjoy time together as a couple with other adults and no children, that doesn't happen too often any more since I stress a lot about leaving the girls, but that is another story for another time. Anyways, Andrew and I had never been to the Roof restaurant and it was a lot of fun. All 17 of us (Andrew has a big Family - 5 siblings and 2 step siblings) were in a corner room with a HUGE round table that all 17 of us fit around! It was way fun!
The view from the restaurant... Amazing!
Poor picture quality, but Andrew and I enjoying dinner and no kids! Isn't my hubby so handsome!
Don't get me wrong, we love, I mean we absolutely adore having our two little sweeties in our lives and we wouldn't change it one bit, but it was nice to have a few hours just the two of us.
So, after all the fun we had in Utah the time came to head back to Vegas so Andrew could start school again. Emma and Addie had to spend way too much time in their car seats during the months November - January as we hauled them back and forth and back and forth between St. George and Salt Lake. All in all we spent 8 weeks in Utah. It was so nice to spend so much time with Family and for the girls to get to know their cousins. It was also very nice to get some help taking care of the twins, but after 8 weeks we were ready to head home.Thank you to everyone who helped out and for all your generosity and love! We are so grateful to have such wonderful families and so much support.

Hanging out in their car seats at a restaurant we stopped at for lunch and to take a break. Headed back to Vegas!
So I bet you are wondering what a house looks like after everything has been unloaded from 8 weeks out of town and two car fulls of Christmas presents (the twins were popular). It would be an understatement to say it was a mess, there are no words to describe so here are some pictures.
Kitchen/living room
Living room. Don't mind Andrews monstrosity of a TV, thats another story.
My OCD went into over drive! It took me FOREVER to get it cleaned up and the twins were such a big "help". But I finally got it all organized. Isn't this so much better! Ahhh...

It was so nice! And then...
Adelyn found where I stashed her toys. And then she discovered she could go anywhere and pull down anything within her reach and my nice clean house was gone. My nice clean house might come back again in a few years when the girls are old enough to clean and pick up after themselves.... Right? Here's to hoping.

And that is the story of our 8 week trip to Utah and the girls' first holidays! Thanks again to everyone who made it such a special time. We have the best friends and family and we love you guys!
