One Baby and Pictures

Time is flying by! I can't believe it is already October. Where did June, July, August & September go? Other twin moms said the first year would be a blur, but man! I can't seem to keep up. It seems like we are never doing anything and time is crawling by because we do the same thing every day over and over again, but then I look back at pictures and I realize how quick the girls are growing up and how fast time IS flying. Some days I wonder how life would be with one baby. I could go to the grocery store without having to prepare HOURS in advance. It's a joke trying to go anywhere during the day when I am home alone with the girls. I also think about having to sleep train one baby. Sleep training 2 babies, lets just say I'm not sure it's possible :) The girls are pretty good at staying ont the same schedule during the day, but at night they can't seem to synchronize. The other time I think about having one baby is when both girls are screaming. With one screaming baby the solution is simple: you pick them up, but when two babies are screaming not so simple. Who do you pick up? The one that is screaming the loudest. The squeakiest wheel gets the greece and the other squeaky wheel gets some lovin' too as soon as her sister settles down. However, the pro's far out weigh the cons when it comes to twins. I couldn't live without either one of my girls! Twins are SOOOO cute!!! They are such good friends. I can tell they love each other so much! It is so fun to see them interact. The best way to start a day? Walk into the nursery and see these two cuties smiling at me!

Now you can't tell me that this isn't the cutest thing you've seen all day. They are so much fun! I am so lucky to have my two girls and I wouldn't have it any other way and I wouldn't change it for anything in the whole world. Seriously! How lucky am I that they chose to come to my family and to let me be their mom! They are such sweet little blessing.

Here are some pictures.

Playing with Grandma

All ready to go to church at Grandma's. Look how tall Emma is (in the white) she weighs almost a pound less than her sister but she is taller.

Eating dinner gets a little crazy some nights

They love their bumbos!

Just chillin' and checking each other out
They love to play together

This gives new meaning to eating ont he go! haha We took the girls to the new city creek center and temple in salt lake when we were up there visiting a few weeks ago. By the way, if anyone is looking for a twin stroller, this bad boy is AMAZING! It turns on a dime and can maneuver through anything and it weighs basically nothing. I LOVE it!
The Salt Lake Temple. SO pretty and perfect fall weather!

Adventures of Home Life

The girls turned 3 months this week! I can't believe how fast the time is going by. One lady who had twins told me that the first year is just a blur, and I can attest that it is true. I have had my hands full with my two little angels/devils and life has been a crazy busy blur. Luckily I have been taking a lot of pictures. I tried to narrow down the number of pictures to post, but they are all so darn cute I had a hard time.

This was their first time going to church. I love dressing them up and showing them off to all the people in my ward. Twins are a magnet and everyone wants to see, its a lot of fun.
Adelyn all ready for church
Emma all ready for church. She slept the whole time.
Funny side note about Emma in this car seat on this particular outing to church. Like I said it was our first time. We got there early so we could get a bench that had enough room for for the car seats and all of us. Well, Andrew found a bench and set Emma down on it and the next thing he knew the car seat flipped upside down with Emma still strapped inside it and fell between the benches! I don't know how this happened becuase when we tried to get the car seat out from between the benches it didn't fit! It was quit the show with Andrew tugging on the car seat wiggling it side to side (still upside down) trying to get it back. When we finally freed the car seat and looked inside Emma was still peacefully sleeping. Ha Ha Ha Funniest moment at church ever! The people around us thought it was pretty funny too. From that point on I stopped any and all judgements when it comes to other peoples parenting. I can't say much considering what we've put our kids threw. All I have to say is there is no judgement here so please don't judge us :)

My little red head! I prayed so hard for a red head and I am so happy I got one! Emma's hair is starting to look a little red too. I think little red headed girls are so cute!
Look at that red hair!

Napping together
Ok, remember when I said no judging? Twins are A LOT of work. At first I felt guilty not holding and cuddling my babies while I fed them, but when they were both screaming I didn't know what else to do.
This is how we do it.
Efficiency is the key to my sanity.

Play time
Monkey bums!

All ready to go shopping! It's a lot of work to get out of the house and I find it a HUGE accomplishment anytime I get out of the house with them not screaming.

Cuddling my babies!

Dressed up in their cupcake shirts for daddy's birthday.

Birthday Cake I made for Andrew. It's suppose to be a golf course in case you couldn't tell. Andrew thought it was a soccer field?
Happy Birthday Dad!
Look at those big blue eyes.

Emma has some of the funniest faces! These strip of pictures were taken in sequence one after another in about a total of 5 seconds. I was laughing so hard. She just kept changing her face. I wish I knew what she was thinking!
HAHA I still can't stop laughing at this funny girl! I love being her mom!
Addie is such a little sweetie! I just love her!
Don't you just want to squeeze those cute little cheeks?

The Nursery

I have slowly been finishing the girls' nursery. When I was unexpectedly put on  bedrest I wasn't finished with the nursery so I had to wait until they were born to finish and it seems like everything takes 10 times longer to finish with two little girls. But, I am done! I love it. I kept it simple because we are just renting and I didn't want to put a lot of effort into a nursery I have to pack up in 7 months. Here are some picture.
I got a cricket for Christmas so I did most of the decorations myself. I love my Cricket! I also spruced up these frames and did a little butterfly craft I saw on pinterest.  I also love pinterest, I got a lot of my ideas from there. I wish I was creative enough to come up with these ideas, but since I'm not I'm glad I have pinterest.

I begged my mom to make crib skirts for me and I am so glad she did! I did the easy picking out the material and cutting, and she did the hard sewing. It was quite the project, but I love how they turned out!

I covered these frames with some fabric I had left over from the bed skirts.

Getting ready to make butterfly feet. They loved it! Anytime they don't have to wear clothes they are happy.
Finished with the butterfly feet.
All ready to hang up in the nursery.

I had fun putting the nursery together, but I am glad it is done!
